Matt Baugher is currently the Senior Vice President of Author and Partnership Development at Harper Collins Publishers, where he works with all Harper imprints and a wide variety of bestselling authors such as Chip & Joanna Gaines, Gary Sinise, Kathie Lee Gifford, Randy Travis, and many more. Among his many New York Times bestsellers are The Magnolia Story and The Magnolia Table by Chip & Joanna Gaines, which each sold over 2 million copies; Heaven is For Real, which sold 12 million copies worldwide; This Life I Live by Rory Feek; and Finding Gobi, a tale of the ultimate friendship in China between a man and a stray dog, which has now released in 18 countries. As the past publisher of W Publishing Group, Baugher was twice awarded the prize for Book of the Year by the ECPA and also had multiple authors chosen for Barnes & Noble’s distinctive “Discover Great New Writers” program. In the near future, he has new releases coming to market from Chip Gaines, Ree Drummond, Syd and Shea McGee, and Tani Adewumi, an 8-year-old homeless refugee who came out of nowhere to win the New York state chess championship in 2019. Before joining HarperCollins, Baugher was a literary agent, artist manager and record producer. Many of his works have been nominated for Grammy and Dove awards. He lives in Thompson’s Station, TN.
