Her most recent studio album was the stripped down Fatal Optimist, released in 2025 to wide praise, including landmark profiles from the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and beyond, plus a second Tiny Desk Concert with NPR Music. Madi has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and CBS Saturday Morning. She recently released Fatal Optimist (UN-unplugged), a deluxe release including four additional “UN-unplugged” songs. Throughout the last several years, Diaz has collaborated with artists including Kasey Musgraves, Waxahatchee, Angel Olsen, S.G.
