Our Story

WriterFest is a creative gathering for authors, screenwriters, poets, and songwriters. Attendees enjoy keynotes AND in-depth break-out sessions with professional editors, literary agents, filmmakers, and music industry insiders. Conference attendance is capped to ensure an intimate experience and a chance for networking. Attendees—including students who attend FREE—are empowered, inspired, and connected to take their writing to the next level!

Our founder, Ami McConnell, formerly served as Editor-in-Chief and VP of Howard Books/Simon & Schuster. Her editing credits include numerous New York Times bestsellers and award-winning titles. Ami now works with celebrities and artists of all stripes to create bestselling books.
